People vs Oil is a series made for Just Stop Oil profiling ordinary people who are taking nonviolent direct action against new oil and gas. I wanted to learn more about the people marching  and understand some of the motives behind taking ‘disruptive’ action.

Meet Deborah. Retired Teacher, grandmother and now that legislation effectively bans protest, a ‘criminal’. Deborah was arrested for marching in the road on the 3rd May 2023, hours after the government’s new Public Order Bill came into force.
